Seminole Music & Gators Proudly Present the Second Annual Guitar Wars Musicians from all over the country competed in April for prizes totaling more than $6,000.  The competition was held at Gators Cafe and Saloon in Treasure Island, FL.  Seminole Music & Sound organized the contest with sponsorship from ESP Guitars, ART Amps, D'Addario Strings, Seymour Duncan Pickups, Sonic Foundry Software, Headline Graphics, Red Dog Beer and Jim Beam. The Kingpin Band hosted the activities, and Gators offered food and drink specials each night. All ages were welcome to come out and enjoy the contest.  The semi-finals for the competition were held on the following dates:    Monday, April 6th, 1998 Monday, April 13st, 1998 Monday, April 20th, 1998 Grand prizes were given away on the final evening of competition - Monday, April 27th, 1998. Congratulations to our 1998 Guitar War Grand Prize winner Mick Luke ! 1998 Guitar War Prizes : Semour Duncan Pickups, Sonic Foundary Software Suite, ART Rules Breaker Amp, ESP Kirk Hammett Custom Ouija Guitar 1998 Guitar Wars Grand Prize (the guitar - not the babe) ESP Kirk Hammett Custom Ouija Guitar Sonic Foundary All contestants received prize bags with such cool things as: D'Addario Strings, hats, duffle bags, towels and t-shirts.
